The NFHS is proud to name David Hanson of Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island as the 2018-19 Boys Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year!

Coaching Highlights: Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame (1992), Larry Gallogy Award - R.I. High School Boys' Sport Coach of Year (1995), Joseph L. Tracey Memorial Award in recognition for significant contributions to the field of swimming and aquatics by the Rhode Island Swim Coaches Association, NISCA David H. Robertson Excellence in Coaching Award (2006), and NISCA Outstanding Service Award (2010).

Philosophy of Athletics

Coach Hanson knows that he has to work hard and likes to have fun while doing it. He tries to get as many swimmers as possible to make a positive contribution to the team effort. His team's overall success is directly related to the total sum of its parts. Dedication and hard work result in many positive outcomes.
