Gehrig Chambless of Ocoee (Florida) Legacy Charter High School knocked his way into the record books when he tied the national high school record with four triples in a game on March 2.

The sophomore is the first player to accomplish the feat since Todd Barker of Marrero Ehret (Louisiana) in 2001, but he’s not the only member of Chambless household with their name in the National High School Sports Record Book.

Gehrig’s name is accompanied in the record book by his father and high school coach, Jack Chambless, who is one of three players to capture five stolen bases in an inning. The elder Chambless did so for Hugo (Oklahoma) High School during the 1984 season.

On his historic night, Gehrig also tallied a single, 10 RBI and six runs scored.
