Philosophy of Athletics
Coach Lorensen has spent the past 43 years coaching middle school and/or high school athletics. He believes that he has been given the opportunity to be a role model and mentor to the young men and women that he has had the opportunity to coach. In coaching, you get to share some of the most exciting and some of the most disappointing times of our student athletes' lives. In either case, it is such a great opportunity to impact young kids. He hopes to have taught them how to both win with grace and lose with dignity, and also to show respect for their opponents. He feels that if he has been able to be a positive role model to his players for all of these years, it has been a very worthwhile venture and feels truly blessed to have been in this profession.
