NFHS rules writing committees consist of experts in the given sport and each are nominated by state associations, as is the chair person that guides the members through their work. Each committee member represents one of the eight sections as divided by the NFHS By-laws. To allow for equal representation, there is also a member of the NFHS Coaches Association and the NFHS Officials Association on the committee. Each committee member serves a four-year term.

For the 2015-18 term of the NFHS Swimming and Diving Rules Committee, the NFHS welcomes two new members, George Homewood and Stacy Schroeder.

George Homewood, Section 2, has been the swimming and diving rules interpreter for the Virginia High School League (VHSL) since 2003. His swimming officiating career began in 1985 as a certified swimming official for USA Swimming, NFHS/VHSL and the NCAA. He has served Virginia Swimming, Inc. as a board member, officials chair, general chair, board of review vice-chair and chair as well as Virginia Peninsula Swimming Union President/Board Member. Homewood is a USA Swimming Life Member, conferred by Virginia Swimming. Outside of swimming, he is the director of city planning for the City of Norfolk, Virginia, and is the president of the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association. He as is an active volunteer in the Boy Scouts.

Stacy Schroeder, Section 5, is the associate executive director for the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). Schroeder has been with the MSHSAA office for 20years and currently administers the Boys and Girls State Swimming and Diving Championships and the State Scholar Bowl Championships.  She also works extensively with eligibility issues, the MSHSAA by-laws, the Appeals Committee and the Board of Directors. During her tenure with the MSHSAA office, she has also overseen the sports of volleyball and tennis, and assisted with the activities of football, basketball, music and track & field. Schroeder has previously served on the NFHS Volleyball Rules Committee, the NFHS Strategic Planning Committee and the NFHS National Records Committee. Schroeder was a three-sport athlete in high school and participated in track and field in college. Schroeder and her husband, Kevin, have two children and live in Columbia.

The new members take over for Kenneth Gipe (Section II) and Greg Selbo (Section V). Each of the departing committee members served the membership well.

The 2015 Swimming and Diving Rules Committee Meeting will take place March 22-24 in Indianapolis Indiana.
