From 1927 to 1969, Bertha Teague had a career record of 1,157-115 as the girls basketball head coach at Byng (Oklahoma) High School. Until 1991, she held the national record for most wins. Teague led Byng to eight state titles and a 98-game winning streak from 1936-39. A member of the National High School Hall of Fame, Teague surprisingly never competitively played the sport of basketball. #TitleIXat50
