Revered coach and hoops star Dawn Staley grew up playing basketball at Murrell Dobbins Tech High School in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a senior, she was named National High School Player of the Year. Following her three NCAA Final Four berths with the University of Virginia, Staley played professionally for more than a decade.

To this day, Staley continues to be a leader for female athletics while coaching the University of South Carolina women’s basketball team. This past summer, she became the first African-American coach for the USA Women’s Basketball Olympic team and, in October, became the highest paid head coach in NCAA Women’s Basketball. #TitleIXat50
