A basketball, volleyball and track and field star at Lincoln High School in East St. Louis, Illinois, Jackie Joyner-Kersee was a member of four Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state title teams — one in basketball and three in track and field.
Joyner-Kersee also won two Olympic gold medals in the heptathlon and another gold medal in the long jump at the 1988 Summer Games. #TitleIXat50
