NOTES:
• NEW: All players and goalkeepers shall wear a neck laceration protector for the 2024-25 season. It is important that all players and goalkeepers properly wear all pieces of required equipment.

SITUATION 1: While play is in progress, a player (a) is observed not wearing a neck laceration protector, or (b) has the neck laceration protector dislodged. RULING: Play may continue. In both (a) and (b), the player must be ordered to return to the players’ bench and be replaced on the ice. (3-4-4)
SITUATION 2: During a penalty shot attempt, the player loses control of the puck but is able to regain control and continue the attempt. RULING: As long as the player maintains some forward motion toward the goal, the attempt may continue. (4-7-4)
